Food and Drink Forum West
Due to industry demand, the successful Scottish Food and Drink Forum for the West of Scotland was re-formed, with support from Scottish Enterprise. The Forum benefits companies and organisations associated with the food and drink sector, and its objectives are:
- to encourage the sharing of knowledge, best practice and collaboration on a regional basis
- to engage the wider food and drink industry
- to involve the industry in the management and delivery of the programme
- to be part of the Scotland Food and Drink strategy

The Key Trends within the Food and Drink Industry
Thursday 22nd January, Glasgow City Chambers
The next event, as requested by previous event attendees, will take place on Thursday 22nd January, from 4pm to 6.30pm, at the prestigious Glasgow City Chambers, located on George Square in the centre of Glasgow. With an excellent line-up of speakers, delegates will learn about key trends in the food and drink industry. For example, CBI Scotland will provide an overview of the economy. TNS-Global will outline the key consumer purchasing trends and how this will affect manufacturers, retailers and catering establishments. Lidl, the discount retailer, will also provide an insight into their growing popularity, followed by a tour afterwards of a new Lidl store in Glasgow.
